Chrissie Pearlman demands contact
Latest from Marty Rathbun's Blog. A letter from Chrissie Pearlman:
"Attention OSA and Flag
I demand that you release my boyfriend Shane Weightman from the illegal activity of false imprisonment at Flag.
Placing him under 24 hour surveillance and forbidding him to call me is not only a violation of his human rights, but also in violation of the Creed of the Church of Scientology which states: “We of the Church Believe... That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely of their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others… And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly…” Ron Hubbard.
"Further attempts to slander and malign my reputation in an attempt to destroy our relationship will fail.
Your plans to keep him prisoner until you can have him personally escorted onto a plane out of the country and thus hope to keep us apart will also fail.
These are suppressive abuses being committed under the pious sham that you are somehow assisting mankind by causing pain and suffering to two innocent people. Please release him from your custody at Flag so that he may have freedom of movement and speech.
If you continue to suppress him I will take necessary actions to ensure that his human rights are fully restored."

Daughters of St. Paul against Scientology in Italy
"Courageous stand of the Daughters of St. Paul against Scientology in Italy"
"It is a lucid and disturbing account of the stories of former Scientologists. You begin to realize, page after page, not only the courage it took to make the stories public, but the much greater courage required to leave because, as Alberto Laggia notes, "Deciding to go public with the story of one's involvement in Scientology is painful, but it is yet more difficult to give up an experience as totalistic and pervasive as that of adhering to Hubbard's church and to overcome extremely intense psychological pressure. In reality, as Maria Pia Gardini confessed to me, 'When you withdraw from a cult like Scientology, your legs carry you out, but your head is still inside'."

Behind Scientology; The Lies, Deception and Beliefs
"...while Miscavige may be seen as a monster, he is merely a proxy for carrying out the evil policies of L. Ron Hubbard. Miscavige is definitely not "misapplying" the evil parts of Hubbard's tech -- we believe he is using them just as Hubbard intended.
Further, we believe the creed of Scientology has many noble elements to it but think the creed is a fraud because Scientology and most Scientologists do not act in accordance with their creed.
The creed is pure PR and Scientology and most Scientologists are hypocrites. A simple example of this hypocrisy is that their creed says that all men have an inalienable right to free speech yet in practice that right is only supported by the church when the speech is laudatory of Scientology. Otherwise you are publicly labeled a bigot and hatemonger and the fair game policies are applied against you."

Crush Regging- The 'New Era of Selling In Scientology'
"David Miscavige has created a whole new order of crush-sell - and just in case you reacted to it at events and thought it was odd that you were having bags of books or tapes or new releases shoved in your face and asked whether you wanted to pay with credit card, check or cash, and just in case you quietly thought to yourself (like most of us) that you would NEVER bring a friend or family member to these events because you'd be too embarrassed to expose them to this treatment, you were right. NONE of that has anything to do with Scientology."

Class IV auditor dumps the cult
"Recently I read the book: "My billion year contract" by Nancy Many. Several times when I was reading it, I thought: "Is she stupid? Why didn't she just...?" and so forth. But I too was like that. I joined. How could this happened? Slowly and systematic brainwash by blind to obey, control, repeatments and isolation. I did it myself."

Is scientology becoming the new cult of sports?
From today's blackathlete.net:
"Is scientology becoming the new cult of sports??"
"In fact, the other night I was watching ESPN when an intriguing commerical captured my attention. In my mind, I'm thinking this must be a new commerical from Nike. No, maybe it's Reebok. Or even Adidas. But to my surprise, it was the latest advertisement for Scientology. Scientology??? (WTF) Get the hell out of here!!!"

The truth about hypnotism
From today's Leaving Scientology Blog:
"The truth about hypnotism."
"Scientology uses a sort of reverse NLP to entrap people even though it predates it. This is because NLP is not a body of theory but simply a collection of useful techniques. Every person who has ever influenced another human being has used some form of NLP to do so. This occurs even when the influencer has never even heard of NLP! Scientology uses this exact same method to prevent people from reading information such as this in the Internet.
They do this by linking the act of becoming informed (and therefore free) with emotional pain."

Warburg Institute to unseal the Babalon Working Documents
"L. Ron Hubbard's involvement in occult ceremonies that included sex magick: Warburg Institute to unseal the Babalon Working Documents""
"We have no doubt that if we had known the truth about Hubbard and The Babalon Working, we would never have entered Scientology or given the cult a moment of our time or a plugged penny. Because Hubbard and Scientology withheld the truth and instead, for forty years now, repeated his lies about being on a secret mission for the US Government, Scientology got me for 12 years, got Caroline for 24 years and over $60,000, and when we complained they made us fair game and got her daughter. - Gerry Armstrong"

Scientology: Caught illegally clearing the planet
"David Miscavige's interpretation of L.Ron Hubbard's dream, "clearing the planet", was brought to a grinding halt at Scientology's Golden Era Productions faculty near Hemet, Calif. by the Code Enforcement Dept. of Riverside County, with the help of some keen-eyed residents and anonymous (including not so anonymous) protesters."
